A New Beginning

I’m here to share some EXCITING news about the River Girl Farm story.

We are starting a small, limited number CSA box from our very own garden!!!

Now let me back up a bit, because I’m sure you’re wondering how we went from candles, soaps and naturally dyed clothes to doing actual “farm work”.

My dream has always been to run a market farm that has multiple streams of revenue through event hosting, farmers markets, farm-to-table dinners, maybe even weddings (if we were lucky enough to have a property for such an occasion!). Since we will not be moving away from the bustling Bay Area anytime soon, and therefore are committed to renting a home for the foreseeable future, I have decided to make the most with what we have. Everyone has to start somewhere, and it’s time for River Girl Farm to be what it was always meant to be - a working agriculture operation….even in a VERY SMALL and somewhat temporary format.

Our farm is really more like a garden in the suburbs of Sunnyvale, CA where we will be committed to growing quality produce at a small scale for the general public. We will be offering pick up days a few times a week, with possible delivery options down the line. Our CSA boxes will be small, think fresh produce for a meal or two from each box. We hope to share recipes and maybe throw in a flower bouquet from our flower garden as well!

We are planning to open for business Memorial Day Weekend with a farmstand in our neighborhood. If you live nearby, we hope to see you there!!

We expect limited numbers of produce available as it will still be early in the season for our garden.
